Iron People

Organised in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Consulate General of Ukraine, the exhibition “Iron People: War and Life along Ukraine’s Railway Tracks” presents a compelling series of photographs by Dutch photographer and documentary filmmaker Jelle Krings. The photographs document the three and a half years he spent in Ukraine, accompanying railway workers and their families across the country. Highlighting everyday resilience and the human stories found along the railway network—an essential lifeline for civilian transport and humanitarian support—the exhibition will be on display at the Dockyard Building from 3 March 2026 to 22 March 2026.

Denizlere Haslet Kaldık - Haslet Soyöz Painting Exhibition

Rahmi M. Koç Museum commemorates painter and illustrator Haslet Soyöz, who made significant contributions to the visual memory of Turkish maritime history, with the exhibition “Denizlere Haslet Kaldık ” on the first anniversary of his passing. Since 2003, Soyöz held six exhibitions at the museum, portraying ships, tugboats and lighthouses not only through their technical details, but also through the stories and cultural memory they carry. The exhibition brings together a special selection of the artist’s works that shed light on Türkiye’s maritime heritage.

YANSI

In the YANSI series, Atilla Alp Bölükbaşı points his camera not at the visible world itself, but at its changing and free-flowing reflections on water. The fleeting forms shaped together by water, light, colour, wind and time become, through the artist’s lens, a distinctive visual language between the reality of photography and the expressive possibilities of abstract painting. Each work begins with a real moment in nature and retains its photographic origins, while becoming an independent world that takes on new meaning through the emotions and associations of the viewer. For almost half a century, Atilla Alp Bölükbaşı has recorded the memory of cities, people, nature and the sea through photography. In this series, he explores what lies beyond the visible world. His approach, based on long periods of observation and patient waiting, turns YANSI into more than a collection of striking images: it becomes an invitation to reflect on time, memory, transformation and the creativity of nature. The exhibition comprises a selection of 40 limited-edition photographic works in different sizes. It will first be on view at the Rahmi M. Koç Museum in Istanbul from 15 to 30 September 2026, followed by the Rahmi M. Koç Museum in Ankara from 6 to 18 October 2026.
