Iron People

Organised in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Consulate General of Ukraine, the exhibition “Iron People: War and Life along Ukraine’s Railway Tracks” presents a compelling series of photographs by Dutch photographer and documentary filmmaker Jelle Krings. The photographs document the three and a half years he spent in Ukraine, accompanying railway workers and their families across the country. Highlighting everyday resilience and the human stories found along the railway network—an essential lifeline for civilian transport and humanitarian support—the exhibition will be on display at the Dockyard Building from 3 March 2026 to 22 March 2026.
